Root Yoga was born from a deeply personal journey — one that began in the stillness of the Himalayan ashrams and grew into a calling to help others find their own path back to themselves. Founded by Reema, a certified yoga instructor and sound healer, Root Yoga offers private, 1-on-1 sessions held in the comfort of your home, anywhere in Singapore. Here, there is no rush, no performance, and no comparison. Just conscious movement, honest breath, and a teacher who is fully present with you.
Every session, every posture, every breath at Root Yoga is guided by three core principles that shape the way Reema teaches and the way students experience their practice.

Rooted in the classical yoga teachings of Rishikesh, every session draws on centuries of wisdom — thoughtfully adapted for the modern body and the realities of everyday life in Singapore.

A thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the nervous system ensures that every posture is safe, intentional, and effective — whether you are recovering from injury or building a deeper practice.

As a private, 1-on-1 instructor, Reema gives every student her undivided focus — observing, adjusting, and adapting the session in real time to what your body needs on that day.
Reema’s path to yoga began not in a studio, but in the sacred stillness of the Himalayan ashrams — where yoga is a way of life, not just a form of exercise. Drawn into the philosophy and breath traditions of classical practice, she went on to complete her formal yoga certifications in Rishikesh, one of the world’s most respected centres for yogic training, and furthered her development in Singapore
She is also a Certified Sound Healer, trained in the therapeutic use of Tibetan and crystal singing bowls to calm the nervous system, release emotional tension, and guide students into a state of deep inner rest. Reema’s approach is precise, gentle, and completely human — she teaches with patience, curiosity, and a genuine care for the people she works with.
Root Yoga offers five core practices — each one private, personalised, and delivered in your home. From dynamic Hatha flows to deeply healing Sound Healing sessions, every practice is carefully chosen and adapted for your specific needs.

A strong, grounding practice focused on alignment, breath, and intentional movement. Builds physical strength, flexibility, and mental clarity over time.

Targeted practice for those managing chronic pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, or nervous system imbalance. Therapeutic, careful, and deeply restorative.

A slow, supported practice that gently guides the body into deep, restorative rest—releasing tension and calming the mind with minimal effort.

Our sessions are designed to support your changing body with expert care, sensitivity, and a calming approach that promotes strength, relaxation, balance, and overall well-being for both mother and baby.

This restorative, non-movement session helps release stored emotions, reduce stress, and create space for profound stillness, balance, and emotional healing.

Not sure which practice is right for you? We will design a session tailored to your current needs—blending elements from multiple practices for a personalized, balanced, and unique experience.
